he gave this town a facelift
by blending new and old
he's a famous architect
he's known around the world
he lives in geneva
in a house by the lake
mainly for tax reasons
and because of the beautiful landscape
with his stylish but functional design
by blending innovation and tradition
balanced with technical expertise
he won many competitions
he designed the forecourt
at the central station
as a place of mobility and movement
social contact and communication
he left holes above the benches
in the bus station canopy
so you can see a section of the sky
what a wonderful idea
and as a welcome side effect
it should keep the drunks away
junkies and beggars too
cause they can't stay there when it rains
it finally convinced
the city's authorities
but it didn't work out as expected
in reality
the drunks are there all day
come rain or shine or snow
yell insults at the passers-by
and piss in every corner
and the architect is very busy
he builds a library in oslo
it looks just like a prison
with multicolored windows
